High Fashion is a Hanoverian mare bred by Jean Jacques Groulx. High Fashion was shown in hand as a youngster and placed 1st in KDA Breeder's Classic as a 3 year old and later was Champion at NCDCTA. High Fashion later showed ridden in dressage. High Fashion is incredibly well balanced and has lovely gaits and an excellent extended walk. 

 

High Fashion’s sire, Hohenstein, was the vice champion of his stallion performance test at Adelheidsdorf, the 1995 Trakehner Riding Horse Champion as well as 3rd at the Federal Championships. He won his first advanced dressage competition at the age of seven in 1998 and over the course of his career, has several high placements up to Inter 1 and Grand Prix. Hohenstein has consistently created top dressage horses and according to the Hanoverian Verband, in 2000, he was the second-best producer of dressage horses with an index of 183, the fifth best transmitter of type with a score of 161 and equal third on the breed values competition list with a score of 145%. In 1999, he was awarded the distinction of Elite Stallion by the Trakehner association due to his outstanding performance in both breeding and sport. High Fashion's paternal granddam, Helena XIV, produced 2 licensed full sibling stallions.

 

High Fashion's dam, Wajona, was a Staatsprämie mare with a strong damline of proven dressage horses. Wajona's sire, Wolkenstein, was one of the best Weltmeyer sons. Wolkenstein was known for his faultless character, extraordinary willingness to perform, tremendous presence and outstanding dressage and jumping ability.
