Bred by Dr. Winfried Heitz, City Girl is a solid mare with a large frame and substance. She has long legs and lovely gaits to match. City Girl schooled to PSG/Inter I before US Para Dressage Team rider, Laurietta Oakleaf, purchased her as her next Para Equestrian Dressage mount. City Girl placed 2nd in 3 out of 3 FEI Para Team CPEDI 3* Tests during Wellington’s Global Dressage Festival. Prior to Laurietta Oakleaf, City Girl was ridden by Jennifer Roth. Under Jennifer, City Girl was ranked 3rd with Ohio Dressage Society. City Girl is a proven, upper-level horse with the brains and build for a professional or adult amateur.
City Girl’s sire, Hohenstein, was the vice champion of his stallion performance test at Adelheidsdorf, the 1995 Trakehner Riding Horse Champion as well as 3rd at the Federal Championships. He won his first advanced dressage competition at the age of seven in 1998 and over the course of his career, has several high placements up to Inter 1 and Grand Prix. Hohenstein has consistently created top dressage horses and according to the Hanoverian Verband, in 2000, he was the second-best producer of dressage horses with an index of 183, the fifth best transmitter of type with a score of 161 and equal third on the breed values competition list with a score of 145%. In 1999, he was awarded the distinction of Elite Stallion by the Trakehner association due to his outstanding performance in both breeding and sport. City Girl’s paternal granddam, Helena XIV, produced 2 licensed full sibling stallions.
City Girl’s dam, Donaustrand, was a career broodmare with an exceptional maternal pedigree. Donaustrand’s other offspring include Dodo 54 who is schooling up the levels and recently started showing S* as well as Santo Dorio who is showing S**. Donaustrand’s dam, Marion, produced only two offspring – one being Donaustrand and the other being Dynastie, who went on to produce Grand Prix son, Walkman and two additional S* offspring.
